talented friends

My friend Taylor is a florist.

Flourish Flower Co. is her company,
but her site isn't up yet.

SO no links, sorry.

She did an amazing wedding
and I got to take a couple snapshots
in her apt. as she was putting them together!

I wanted to share some of them,
because they are SO pretty.

holiday market

A couple weeks ago I went to the Holiday Farmers Market

at the Old Mill Museum, downtown.

They had a lot of goodies,

I don't think I have EVER considered carrots and
vegetables goodies,

but at this market, they were.
Everything looked so good!

I mean, look how pretty the bread is:

We walked around and talked to the awesome vendors.

Sampled too many cheeses.

I found out I love goat cheese.

and then a stranger man snapped this pic of Jaewon and me:

so much fun!

Here's the link and info for next time:

think happy thoughts

Peter Pan has to be one of my favorite stories.
As well as my FAVORITE Disneyland ride,
even though the line is always a killer-I will wait.
20 minutes standing in line for a 2 minute ride,
worth it.

But I digress.

I love Peter Pan
and the idea of just thinking a happy thought...
  it can make you fly.

I have been trying to think "happy thoughts",
focusing on the positive,
the blessings in my life.

When I do I'm not weighed down with doubts or burdens
or trials or pain,
in fact
those trials and burdens feel lighter...
as if I am flying

mountains to climb

This is one of my favorite Mormon Messages.

"....Acting on even a twig of faith, allows God to grow it..."

"...He ALWAYS keeps His word.
...His love is unfailing."

Such a good message.

to be

In order to become the person you want to become you need to start acting like that person TODAY. Start doing those things that person does.

It will not just happen on it it's own

If you want to be someone who is kind and giving and who is serving those around her,

start now

knock on that neighbor's door ... write that thank  you card to someone who helped you.

If you want to have your house in order and home cooked meals with the family each night make a plan for it and start heading in that direction.

You won't become that person overnight, but you will become that person as you start to develop those habits and put into practice that perfect picture you have in mind.

My women-I-want-to-be list:
 1. loving
 2. intuitive and selfless
 3. integrity
 4. make the best homemade bread - or at least can make a good loaf once in a while and
 5. uplifting
 6. inviting
 7. organzied
 8. God fearing
 9. happy
10. honest
11. giving
12. laughs before cries (hard hard hard for me)

The other day I was talking to my mom on the phone,

( This is my mom and I )

we have a lot of fun together
these were taken this past summer in my parent's back yard,

aw...what good memories!

SO anyway,

I was on the phone with her

And at the same time she was on this blog checking out my
pumpkin cookies and what I've been up to...

At the end of some of my posts I write:

like I'm french
and I'm kissing you goodbye, or something

And my mom saw one of my posts that I ended with muwha

Snd she said oh! is that you moo-ha.
Is that your name?

like I was signing my posts with a nickname
and my nickname is moo-ha

ha haha hahahaha HA ha haha

oh man.
I think she's pretty awesome.

pine cones and cookies

I made a pine cone garland yesterday.

It is stretched across the cupboards in my kitchen.

I feel festive with it.

I usually don't have a lot of seasonal decor,
so I wanted to do something fall-y/wintery
and something that could stay up for a while.

and zen I made zome cookies.

I don't know why I am talking like a vampire.
(because vampires apparently talk in z's)
mmm...pumpkin chocolate AND white chip cookies.

My bf Kristy gave me the recipe,
and now I am giving it to you

1 box spice cake
1 can (regular size, not the big one) of pumpkin

Mix and add chips

bake 350 degrees for 12 min.

make sure to grease the pan!

The End.

And these are so moist and light that you will eat all of them
as soon as they come out of the oven.

oh that's just me who does that?

oh well.
